18% OFF 16.0 Mega Pixel CMOS HD Digital Camera I recently bought the Asus ZenFone 2 and its battery is draining fast. It is also overheating while playing a light game. What should I do to increase battery life? - Quora I'll tell you what I do to ensure that it lasts the whole day. Turn the brightness to Zero ! .Don't use Automatic Brightness as it uses the Light Ambient Sensor the whole time, thereby draining the battery. Turn the Brightness to suitable level when required outdoors. Remember to turn it back to zero. Keep a Dark Coloured Theme a dark coloured wallpaper. It reduces the number of pixels that are lit, giving more battery backup. Also it looks cool. ( I don't know why I can't upload pictures ). Use Headphones instead of Bluetooth Headsets or Speakers. Global support, go 2gb. Skull iphone 6 case, go zb551kl. 6gb ram mobile, 5 lite. Selfie mobile, go 3g. Global support, go 2gb. With 5000mah battery, 2 max price. Display selfie, go capa. 2 laser specs, buy. Lg g3 dual sim, max 4g. Microsoft lumia 535, celular 2. System update, price. Turn off Bluetooth. Use only when required. Auto-start Manager does half of the work. Use it to your benfits and shut down all power draining apps. Keep the Battery Saver mode on Optimized Mode. (The Default one) Use a single SIM card. Approximately increases battery life 75%. Refer my other answer as well. Although it's for ZenFone 5 it works well for both. Adi Karamchandani's answer to What are the tips to get good battery life for an Asus ZenFone 1? 2k Views · 11 Upvotes Hey!Lemme clear somethings for you first! The minimising of brightness do work because it reduces the power used by each pixel.Using a black or dark wallpaper on a display which isn't AMOLED is of no use! As AMOLED switches off the pixels to display black, that why they have a contrast ratio of infinity, because black is black and in rest of the case the lcd, they don't emit light on their own, they are backlit, they reflect that light, so even to display black they have to reflect light! So no USE! Actually apps like clean master take up more battery as they are continuously running in the background! And zenfone 2 doesn't need a memory cleaner! You need to understand that the memory management of Android os is very efficient, so you need not clear ram all the time, it's of no use closing or quiting running app processes, because they will restart after sometime! So you are actually wasting you battery life there, yes using clean master can boost up some speed but that will just be momentary. What you can do is, uninstall or disable apps that you don't need, apps like Facebook, candy crush saga, for moreCheck out these links 1) http://www.cnet.com/news/whats-k...2)https://www.androidpit. com/batte... Keep check of these apps.If your warranty period is over I'd suggest you to root your device, install an app called "greenify" it hibernates battery consuming apps and you can reduce or under clock your processor to gain some significant battery life! Or better there might be some power optimised kernels for your phone! *proceed at your own risk. And the rest of the things you can do are, the ordinary commonly advice things:1)Use headphones more frequently2) use bluetooth less.3) use mobile data less and use wifi more4) two sims in a dual sim device can bring down the battery pretty fast, so if you have no dire need for sim two, don't use it! Can save you a lot of battery life.5) use built-in power saving options. The overheating maybe due to all the unwanted apps in the background plus this foreground or active app, taxing the cpu, or it can be a software bug too, check up with other zenfone 2 users and know if they are facing similar problem. In general, Asus phones powered by Intel processors always have had battery problems, most of it is blamed on the hyperthreading, and the cpu always stays at a higher low clock frequency to keep things running smoothly, which really affects the battery life.Any more clarification or doubt, feel free to comment down below!Kudos! 5k Views · 9 Upvotes Try patching the recent updates.Go to your asus service centre and get your device thoroughly checked. I doubt there would be hardware faults, as zenfone is a breeze when it comes to gaming.Secondly, go into recovery mode, backup your device and factory wipe it.Check your games after reboot, you need to reinstall em.If the device works fine then you have problems with the apps installed which are draining your battery. Also, do check your battery graph. If the graph isn't smooth and has sudden drops there is a fault with your battery. Thanks for A2A 21k Views · 2 Upvotes · Answer requested by 1 person You can do following things.1.)Please check for latest system updates because in 5.0 there were lot of bugs and problem related to battery draining were lot .2.)Please ensure to use the adapter and USB cable that came with your device. Also Recommend to go to settings/Power Management to adjust Auto-start Manager and power saver. 3.)For more details and troubleshooting assistance please see the pre-installed ASUS Support app and select Assistance. There is a lot of helpful info in this app.4.)Reduce your brightness and turn off location services 5.)Disable apps that are pre-installed because there lot of apps that use your data connection in background and useless apps from starting with Auto-Start Manager.6.)If you are using 3g or 4g continous then you can't expect to battery life to stay longer and also your phone will get heated because of it .The heating problem happens in some good brand cells phone also. 7.)Install the apps only from play store only and not from any site or any .apk file you ge via any medium. 7k Views · 2 Upvotes Here are some advice for you Firstly, uninstall clean master. Such apps are just useless and are baits and nothing else. Being frankly, I say that I dont even use antivirus for my A7000. Such apps are high RAM consuming apps. The screen consumes almost 75% of the total battery. So it is adviced you to lowers the screen brightness. Use only those apps which are necessary. I advice you to uninstall Facebook app as well. You can also do Facebook or Twitter on Browser also. Actually such apps are always kept running on background. hope that you did like itbest wishesAk47 10k Views · 3 Upvotes
