30% OFF GPS Positioning System Card Hidden Tracker anon(153966) Distinguished Just bought this Zen 2, today and I'm a little confused with notifications. Can't I have it where my notifications for my watch are TOTALLY different to my smartphone (BlackBerry Priv)? Example, I only want my watch to notify me of text messages. I don't want phone calls, emails, etc. Albeit I want my smartphone to function as normal, i.e. notify all notifications on itself as it normally would. Thanks in advance for your feedback... Greetings and welcome to Connectedly! Iphone 6 air jacket, 2 4gb 32gb. Celular live, loja. Buscape selfie, capa 6. 2 4gb ram review, 2 review. 3 laser price, 2 4g. Mobile phones, 5 lte. Models and prices, 2 laser 5. Compare max, sale. Hard iphone 6 case, 6 batarya. 2 ze551ml cena, 3 gold. 5 battery life, 5 dual. Be default, Android Wear is setup to deliver *ALL* notifications that show up on your phone over to your watch (in this case, your ZenWatch 2). To limit what notifications you receive on your watch, you can "block" certain apps and notifications from these apps will no longer show on your watch, but will still show on your phone. Here's the only issue... You have to do this one by one, for each app. To do this: -Open the Android Wear app and make sure your watch is connected. I don't have a ZenWatch 2, but I'll be using the original ZenWatch 1 for this example. -Next, click the little Gear icon in the upper, right corner... -Now select "Block app notifications" down the list here... -Finally, select which apps you do NOT want to receive notifications for on your watch by clicking the "+" icon and picking the apps from the list... As mentioned above, you will unfortunately have to repeat the last step over and over for each app you want to block. Thankfully, once all setup, you won't have to do this again unless you want to add or remove apps from the block list. If you also want to block ALL calendar notifications on your watch, make sure the calendar app is in the block list above AND follow the below steps: -Again, from the settings menu in the Android Wear app, tap "Calendar settings"... -Then make sure the "show calendar event cards" toggle is off... One question, how does one block phone calls to the watch? I added three items, for Phone, to the blocked list. Yet, I still receive phone calls. Weird that... Thanks in advance. I will confirm this later tonight when I can use my wife's phone to call myself 😁 Hehe. However, I would try blocking some if not all of these... For reference, these screenshots are from my Nexus 5x running marshmallow. Originally Posted by Penguwin Hrmm... I will confirm this later tonight when I can use my wife's phone to call myself Hehe. I blocked all those prior and it still didn't work as expected. Weird really how I have multiple 'phone' to block. Anyway, no rush. I'm still testing things. AGxM Can I ask why you would want a ZenWatch at all then? I know it's absolutely lovely, and I wouldn't be without mine but the reason I wear a smartwatch is for the notifications.... Not having a go, just curious Another way to block all notifications would be to remove Notification Access for AndroidWear on your phone.... Settings Lock Screen and Security Other Security Settings Notification Access Penguwin likes this. Originally Posted by AGxM Can I ask why you would want a ZenWatch at all then? Settings Lock Screen and Security Other Security Settings Notification Access I've actually just returned it. The device is nice. Albeit I'd have to wear the watch tight to feel the notifications. And, with the Priv, I wasn't able to prevent calls to the watch. Originally Posted by ivantwilliams I've actually just returned it. The device is nice. Perhaps something like a Pebble watch would be more of what your looking for... Below is a screenshot from the original Pebble's Android app, allowing you to easily turn on or off whatever notifications you like...
